ABOUT THE STUDIO

Lisa Holland founded Ann Arbor Dance Classics in 1996.  Deena Fournier came on board to co-own and co-direct with Lisa in 2000.  This helped Lisa focus running the tap and musical theater programs, while Deena ran the ballet program.

In 2004 they established the AADC Youth Dance Ensemble (YDE), an in-house performance company for dancers between the ages of 6 and 18.

Upon Lisa semi-retiring in December 2019, Deena became sole owner and director of Ann Arbor Dance Classics in January 2020.  AADC continues to offer the same fantastic dance programs that it has done for the last 25 years.

AADC OFFERS:

  • An all year round, all inclusive recreational dance program for ages 3 to adult

  • A performance company producing three performances each season

  • A nationally awarded competition dance team

We occupy a 6600 square foot space with 4 dance rooms, a break/homework room and multiple rest rooms.  Our dance rooms have professional sprung dance floors.

OUR VALUES

Ann Arbor Dance Classics is dedicated to providing an intentionally welcoming and safe environment where all feel valued and cared for. We seek to foster a community where all are given the opportunity to form meaningful connections with one another.

We celebrate the diversity of gender, age, race, ethnicity, national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, financial means, education, religion, and political perspective.

These beliefs and practices apply to all the activities of our studio, and we welcome all to share in the learning, teaching, and joy of dance.
